The Jig She Saw
Reflections on You
The Jig She Saw was created and performed by Regan O'Brien in the Brian Friel Studio, Belfast in Sept 2010.
'The Jig' explores the difference between visual and embodied perspective through a relational performance-installation using digital media, live projections, bio metric feed-back and live performance...
Written and performed by Regan O'Brien in The Jig She Saw. The Jig She Saw is an interdisciplinary, participatory performance which was created by Regan O'Brien to explore the nature of collaboration through the subject of seperation. Sophie Spade is a character created by the artist who has decided she needs to seperate from her to develop as an independent entity.
The performance was participatory and audience members were invited to take part in building the content of the narrative alongside the protagonist Sophie Spade: a character developed as a device to investigate themes of separation anxiety through the double persona.
